Politics is entirely filled with the adjustments and sacrifices, not for others, but for oneself. The politicians can sacrifice anything and anybody for the personal gains in the name of development, and Goa has already seen quite a lot of it recently. Lot has been sacrificed in the name of development but the ultimate goal always remains as the greed for power.

The recent power play by BJP in the state did not go unnoticed. After the demise of Mr. Parrikar, the senior leaders flew down from Delhi to make sure that everything goes as per their plans.

The early morning meeting began in the five-star property situated in the capital city of Goa to finalize the next candidate for the post of CM. The candidate BJP presented before the MLAs and its allies were initially rejected outright by many, but later senior leaders managed to get what they wanted.

Dhavalikar was told to withdraw MGP candidate from Shiroda constituency if he wanted to continue in the cabinet and be made a deputy chief minister

According to the report published by Times of India, a pre-planned move by BJP managed to corner the MGP leader Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavlaikar by virtually getting two of his colleagues, Manohar Azgaonkar and Deepak Pauskar, to switch over their loyalties in the favour of the saffron party.

According to the sources, BJP created the pressure on Dhavalikar by way of negotiations due to which he had to withdraw the MGP candidate from Shiroda constituency. “Dhavalikar was told to withdraw MGP candidate from Shiroda constituency if he wanted to continue in the cabinet and be made a deputy chief minister.”

Dhavalikar was told that if he didn’t withdraw his party’s candidate from the Shiroda constituency, BJP-led government would split his legislature party and allocate PWD and transport ministries to his colleagues

It may be recalled that Deepak Dhavalikar, brother of Sudin Dhavalikar, and president of MGP had announced his candidature from Shiroda bypolls and started his campaign three weeks ago.

Dhavalikar was told that if he didn’t withdraw his party’s candidate from the Shiroda constituency, BJP-led government would split his legislature party and allocate PWD and transport ministries to his colleagues, reported the TOI

The above makes it clear as what amount of pressure is maintained by the ruling party on its allies to run the government in this tiny state. This is just a tip of the iceberg, you can only imagine how much work goes through this to sustain the power.
