Sunburn is one of the largest Electronic Dance Music (EDM) festivals that celebrates in Goa every year pulling the crowd estimated half a million people from all over the world. The organisers of the festival made announcement saying only the fully vaccinated people will be allowed to attend the Music Festival this year. 

According to the organisers of the event, the three day music festival will kick off in Goa on 28th December and will conclude on the 30th at the same old location, Vagator situated in north Goa.

“We will allow only the fully vaccinated audience to attend the festival this year and a strict Covid norms will be followed,” stated the organiser of the festival. 

According to the reports, this is the 15th Edition of the music festival that will reign Goa with the crowd of music lovers from across the world for the three days 28, 29 and 30th December. The festival venue this time also remains the same, Vagator Hill Top situated in the north Goa. 

The 14th edition of the Sunburn Music Festival took place in Goa on the hybrid format with virtual and physical format. It was held from 27 to 29 December 2020. The three days festival has claimed to have followed the covid norms such as social distancing and reduced audience to just 20% of its capacity. 

There were no wrist bands provided last year and there was no existence of the Box Office as well but this year the scenario will change and come back to normal following the New Norms. 

The Sunburn Festival this year has been themed ‘#LifeIsCalling’, and will feature over 60 international and local artistes across three stages. The promoters will be partnering with several popular clubs across India for ‘Sunburn Echo’, the livestream that will recreate the on-ground festival experience across the country.

The Hybrid Mode 

The festival is happening in the physical mode this time with the expectations of bigger crowd but according to the organisers it will also happen in the online format. “This year also the Sunburn will give its fans an opportunity to watch the live stream of the on-ground event from the comfort and safety of their homes,” said the organisers. 

Covid SOP

The organisers of the festival, The Percept Live, have assured that the festival will follow all the SOPs and Covid norms laid down by the government. “Only the attendees who have taken both the doses of the approved Covid vaccines will be permitted to attend the festival,” said the organiser of the festival. 

“While COVID-19 put a pause on life over the past 18 months, we are social beings and it’s finally time to ‘Live, Love, And Dance Again’. Sunburn Goa 2021 will be a limited capacity event following global live event best practices and all applicable guidelines,” said Karan Singh, COO of the Percept Live adding, strict measures put in place will ensure safety for all our fans without taking away from the lively open-air experience of Asia’s biggest music festival. “We cannot wait to welcome the Sunburn fans back to Goa.”
