Sangita Hadfadkar’s story is one of resilience and reinvention. A B.Com graduate with a diploma in aviation from the Frankfinn Institute of Airhostess Training, she once dreamed of soaring through the skies. However, life took an unexpected turn when she married early, leading her to set aside her ambitions. While she continued to work as a reservation agent at an air travel agency, the arrival of her daughter shifted her focus from career to motherhood.
Yet, Sangita refused to let her dreams fade. When her husband was transferred to Pune, she discovered a new opportunity in early childhood education by working at Kidzy School, which featured a daycare center. This experience sparked her interest, and upon returning to Goa, she envisioned creating a similar environment where she could nurture her daughter alongside other children.
In 2009, Sangita founded Kid’s Palace Preschool & Daycare Center in Goa, starting with just 14 students. Today, her establishment has grown to serve 80 children annually, offering not only a safe and caring space but also a curriculum rich in extracurricular activities like yoga, gymnastics, and phonics. Her dedication to each child’s development ensures they become confident, self-reliant individuals.
Sangita’s passion extends beyond mere business; she is deeply committed to the well-being of her students. Despite challenges, including navigating parental expectations and the complexities of managing a daycare, she finds joy in working with children. “Every day is beautiful in their company,” she says, emphasizing the importance of love and care in fostering a supportive environment.
The COVID-19 pandemic tested her resolve, as many daycare centers closed their doors. However, Sangita’s commitment to her staff and students never wavered. She successfully adapted to online learning, keeping her team intact and creatively engaging her young learners during these challenging times.
Looking ahead, Sangita aims to further enrich her students’ lives, focusing on their holistic development in a competitive world. She is particularly passionate about supporting children with disabilities and recognizing the importance of inclusivity in education. “No child should be excluded from society,” she asserts, highlighting the need to empower every child to reach their full potential.
Sangita’s message resonates deeply, especially with women seeking to harness their skills and talents. “Every woman has unique abilities,” she encourages. “It’s vital to mold your future and stand strong on your own.” Her journey serves as a beacon of inspiration, reminding us that with dedication and community support, we can all aspire to reach our limitless skies.
