India Bike Week 2023 commenced with an electrifying surge as thousands of biking enthusiasts flooded the vibrant Vagator venue on its opening day. Marking a decade since its inception, this year’s 10x edition, as dubbed by Martin da Costa, founder and CEO of 70EMG and Festival Director, promised grandeur and adventure, and indeed delivered. Divided into five captivating segments, the event showcased an array of thrilling experiences. The Main Stage buzzed with ‘Meet the Bikers’, ‘Manufacturer Parades’, and exclusive motorcycle launches, while the Ladakh Tent hosted insightful discussions by seasoned riders and travel creators. The Howling Dog Bar was an avenue for diverse conversations and celebrated the prowess of women bikers at ‘She rides. She works.’ The Club Village offered exciting games for motorcycling clubs, fostering camaraderie among enthusiasts.
Dubbed “The Big Trip,” this platform celebrated epic motorcycling adventures through inspiring stories. Noor, the Nomadic Hijabi Rider, challenged stereotypes, while Arjun Raina of MotoExotica India shared his passion’s journey. Juvena Huang, known as The Wandering Wasp, recounted her Vespa travels, and the remarkable duo, Simon and Lisa Thomas, detailed their 17-year motorcycle journey together.
Music reverberated through the air with pulsating performances by renowned artists like Nucleya, NASH, and Disco Kid, creating an infectious rhythm. The culinary delights at The Big Forkers Meat Fest added a savoury touch, presenting an array of Indian cured, grilled, and barbecued meats, from Goan Chorizo to succulent whole hog roasts by celebrated grill masters.
