With summer on the brink, it’s time to chill and sip some wine as Goa brings its 15th edition of The Grape Escapade 2019. The Department of Tourism, organizes every year Goa’s premier food & lifestyle festival, the Grape Escapade; the much-awaited Wine festival is a celebration of the finest of everything – food, fashion, and entertainment.

The Grape Escapade is a 4-day festival that has been going on since 2005. The event is managed by Vinsan World and it brings together a host of professionals from the tourism & hospitality industry; hoteliers, restaurateurs, wineries, and manufacturers to showcase their premium offerings. This year, The Grape Escapade is to take place from 28th February to 3rd March 2019 at D.B. Bandodkar Grounds, Campal, Panaji.

The Grape Escapade is the one stop for all the wine lovers out there. Speaking on this event, last year, Goa Tourism and Development Corporation (GTDC) Chairman, Nilesh Cabral said that this festival has become a portal for experiments on wines as one can find wines made up of ginger, papaya, pineapple, mango and berries which are not found easily on retail shops.

According to Goa Experience, the Grape Escapade Festival held in Panjim has wines, haute cuisine, and an entertainment extravaganza. The grape stomping, which is a tradition at the festival, is a source of much delight and fun for the visitors and is an intrinsic part of the festival.

This event is the biggest and world-renowned Wine Festival held in India that encapsulates the spirit of Goa and fun-loving lifestyle.

This 4-day event is the one place to head to for all the wine and food lovers and relishes exquisite cuisine and a variety of flavors of wineries. According to the Goa Tourism Department Corporation, International winemakers and local clientele, hoteliers, restaurants, and professionals from the entertainment, food, and beverage and lifestyle industry come under one roof during the festival. Exclusive wine tasting sessions are conducted on all four days for invitees and wine connoisseurs.

More than just a wine festival, this event is a cultural fest that is a full package of entertainment. The event will showcase a line of entertainment acts that are sure to engage the interest of the visitors and make the festival more vibrant and fun.

A dazzling Fashion show by Anusha Shaikh, pulsating variety entertainment, mesmerizing dance routines by Dance-o-Philia and Goa Institute of Performing Arts (GIPA), and musical performances by Shine On Duo – Sidney & Silvina, Raul with Raggas 2 Riches, BandWagon, Pure Magic, Carlos & Friends, Alcatrazz, Crimson Tide and The Coffee Cats will add a groovy essence to the Grape Escapade Experience.

This Cultural Fiesta is the melting pot of international winemakers and manufacturers- the locals as well as the tourists who enjoy the wines. The highlight of this event includes the traditional Grape stomping, the crowning of the Grape Escapade Queen where the winners have a chance to win exclusive gift vouchers, hampers and lots more.

Certified Sommelier and Connoisseur, John D’Souza who is affiliated with the Wines & Spirits Education Trust London, UK will conduct an exclusive tasting session on 1st March 2019.

The Grape Escapade is open to all and the fun begins at 6 pm. The Grape Escapade has been gaining popularity and has attracted thousands of visitors ever since its inception. The International, as well as Indian tourists, visit this festival to enjoy this escapade experience and get a taste of the essence of this coastal state.
