The tourists from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Kerala were seen all around the state, especially on a couple of famous beaches in North and South Goa. As most of them were traveling on their own vehicles, it was not difficult to spot them all over the state.
The famous Tourist spots, like the Panaji Church, Calangute, and Baga Beach, Arambol, and Morjim beaches were highly crowded with tourists this weekend.
The reason behind the domestic tourists flocking to Goa is said to be the peaceful environment and safe from Covid cases that have spiked in the other states.
It is not that all the tourists have come with their own vehicles, but lots of tourists were also spotted on all major railway stations in Goa, across the Inter-state bus stands in the state.
According to the reports, the lodging and hotels in the capital city were completely running full with the rates skyrocketing.
The Famous Miramar beach in Panaji city has also witnessed a huge crowd of domestic tourists this weekend.
Although this year there will be no EDM festival there are Christmas and New Year parties will be organized by many small and big hotels across Goa and that will be surely pulling lots of crowd towards the years in the state.
Although the locals are worried about the increase in the Covid-19 cases due to the spike in the tourist flow in the state but there is no apparent increase in the cases in Goa till now.
Meanwhile, although the tourists from Maharashtra visiting Goa since there are no strict SOP norms in the state but for the people entering the Maharashtra state from Goa still had to go through the Covid tests.
