As there has been a dip in Covid-19 cases in the country, several states in India have finally started easing COVID-related restrictions and curbs, allowing economic activities to resume. The cool weather has forced people to take a break from everyday life. Here we have listed the Five such places including Goa where you can travel with certain Covid Guidelines.  

Goa has always been at the top of the list of every tourist as it’s the perfect combination of business cum leisure destination in the country, but wait, there are four more that you must also check before making your travel plans.  

1. Ladakh

As per reports, it is necessary to carry a negative RT-PCR report (not older than 96 hours), whether you are coming by road or air. If not transported, tourists will have to undergo a mandatory COVID test on arrival. A RAT test will be conducted on all tourists on arrival.

All those willing to visit the popular Valley of Flowers will have to produce a negative RT-PCR report, which is not older than 72 hours of their arrival. Travelers are also expected to strictly abide by all the COVID-related protocols that have been put into place across the state. All these rules apply for visiting the Jim Corbett as well.

3. Shillong (Meghalaya)

It is compulsory for all people entering Meghalaya, to register themselves prior to their travel at http://meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid/testing.htm, and to download the Arogya Setu App and the Behaviour Change Management App.

RT-PCR testing at entry points is a must. Travelers with a valid final certificate of vaccination shall be exempted from testing. 

4. Gangtok (Sikkim)

On 5 July, the state government of Sikkim lifted a temporary ban on the entry of visitors from other parts of the country, stating people who have taken both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine can visit the state.

The Sikkim government had actually prohibited the entry of people from other states since March this year following a surge in COVID-19 cases. The state Home Department, in a notification, said that fully vaccinated tourists can enter the Himalayan state through Rangpo in East Sikkim and Melli in South Sikkim after exhibiting their vaccination certificates at the border check-gates.

The state government had also allowed hotels, guest houses, and homestays to operate at 50 percent capacity with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols. Shopping malls, showrooms, and shops have also been allowed to open at full capacity with strict compliance with safety guidelines.

5. Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh)

Tourists are already making headlines in Himachal Pradesh. They have started moving towards popular tourist destinations like Dharamsala, Chail, and other parts of the state. Earlier this week, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had said, “We are concerned as the influx of tourists has increased in Himachal Pradesh. We welcome tourists but I urge them to follow the COVID norms. We should also follow the guidelines and wear masks. We have also directed the hotels to strictly follow the SOPs.”

6. Goa

The Bombay High Court in Goa on Monday amended its orders to allow persons, who have been fully vaccinated, to enter Goa without a COVID negative certificate. However, this order remains in place for tourists who will continue to issue a COVID negative certificate even after being fully vaccinated.

Persons who will be excluded include those coming to the state for work, business, residents outside Goa or stranded due to the pandemic, and residents who have to travel outside and after a few days. is required to return. The court said that those who have received their last dose of the vaccine two weeks ago and have not shown any symptoms of COVID shall be deemed to have been fully vaccinated.
